Roof Cleaning across Ryedale

Remove heavy moss and give your roof a cleaner appearance.

Roof Cleaning

Moss, algae and lichen can leave a roof looking tired and regularly drop debris into the gutters below.

Roof cleaning is not the same as cleaning a driveway. We check the tiles, pitch, condition and access before deciding what method makes sense.

WillPower Washing provides roof-cleaning assessments across Ryedale, with safe access and the condition of the tiles checked before any method is recommended.

What we can clean

  • Roofs with visible moss, algae or lichen
  • Properties where roof moss is filling the gutters
  • Tile roofs that can be reached safely
  • Older roofs that need checking before any work starts

What it can remove

  • Visible moss accumulation
  • Algae and lichen growth
  • Debris falling into gutters and onto paths
  • An uneven, weathered appearance

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Check the roof

We look at the tiles, pitch, condition and safe access before recommending anything.

  2. Step 2

    Choose the method

The cleaning method is chosen for the roof; high pressure is never the automatic answer.

  3. Step 3

    Agree the work

You get a clear quote covering what will be done and how we will reach it.

  4. Step 4

    Protect the area

We plan for falling moss and debris and take the gutters and ground below into account.

Common roof cleaning questions

Should a roof be pressure washed?

Not by default. Too much pressure can damage tiles or push water where it should not go. It depends on the roof and its condition.

Does roof cleaning repair damaged tiles?

No. Broken tiles, leaks and failing mortar need a roofer. We will point out anything obvious that we see.

Can you quote from photos?

Photos are a good starting point, but we may still need to check the access and condition in person.
